Brief Online, compositing and audio post on the third series of the animated kids’ TV show.

How it was done Flix’s Mark Wharton and Joshua Irwin composited various 2D elements into the 3D world. The online process also required lots of clean-up work, wire removal, set extensions and the addition of CG skies and clouds. For some episodes, CG characters were also added. A stop-motion parrot, filmed flying in front of a green screen, was composited into one scene. With the storyline for each episode being based around a specific sound, the dubbing mix was crucial. Sounds were localised to areas of the soundstage in order to reflect character reaction and sound location and direction. Robin Cowap used an Avid S6 console to complete both a stereo and 5.1 surround sound mix.
