Move comes after coming together with broadcast services company LMH

Heidi Alexander Memnon

Memnon has announced the appointment of Heidi Shakespeare as its new CEO.

In addition, Gary Edwards has been made COO, and Fabien Bruyneel its managing director for its Brussels operation.

The appointments come as the archiving and digitisation company merges with broadcast media services company LMH, which Edwards co-founded, under the Memnon brand. Memnon and LMH are part of the ES Media Group, whose brands include ES Broadcast and Film Store Rental. Clive Kingston, LMH’s director of production and operations, will take charge of UK operations day-to-day.

Shakespeare arrives with 25 years’ experience in the industry, and comes after Iron Mountain Entertainment Services and Bonded Services Group. In addition to a strong background in marketing, she has also gained skills in both strategic and operational areas.

Meanwhile, Edwards has held both technical and leadership roles at the like of Technicolor and Sky, prior to co-founding LMH in 2016, during a 30-year career.

Memnon has worked across sport and entertainment, including clients such as FIFA and Fox News. Meanwhile, LMH has had a similar stable of customers, including All3Media, the BFI, and ATP Media.

Shakespeare said: “Memnon has long been a leading name in the media industry. Along with its rich heritage of helping brands preserve their content, what makes it such a great company is its community of experts who serve our impressive client list.

“It’s a great feeling knowing that as I get underway, my ambition will be matched by the rest of the organisation and I’m excited to work together with everyone as we continue to grow the company.”

Ben Murphy, CEO of the ES Media Group, added: “Memnon and LMH becoming one organisation is an important step in establishing real synergy in order to realise the value and potential of both companies.

“With these appointments and the vast industry experience across the expanded Memnon team, I’m excited about what this means for the growth not just of Memnon, but also the wider ES Media Group.”
