Ally of the Year and Business Operations of the Year categories added for 2022

Rise Awards winners 2021

The shortlists for the 2022 Rise Awards have been revealed.

The fourth year of the annual awards has seen two extra categories added, Ally of the Year and Business Operations of the Year. In total there are 15 categories, for which you can see the shortlists below. Ally of the Year honours men who have been supportive of striving to achieve gender diversity, and Business Operations of the Year celebrates an individual who excels at making sure the workforce and clients are happy and the business is reaching its targets.

The awards are free to enter, and entrants can be nominated or nominate themselves. Submissions are encourages from across the broadcast media technology landscape, including those working in manufacturer, service provider, engineer or broadcaster roles.

The shortlists were revealed at an event held at IBC 2022, with strong attendance for both the naming and following drinks event. The awards themselves will be held in partnership with BT Sport and Timeline on Thursday 10 November at BT Sport Studio, with graphics being provided by Moov and drinks by EMG.

For 2021, the awards night was held as part of the DPP Tech Leaders’ Briefing, with over 200 in-person attendees and more tuning into a live stream.
