East London post-production company completes its 30-seat facility in Wales’ capital city

Splice has opened its Cardiff-based post-production facility (pictured above), which was originally revealed in Broadcast in June.

The all-Avid office, on St Mary Street in Cardiff city centre, has been extensively refurbished and all suites have been kitted out with custom-built sit-stand desks. Splice’s facilities director Kate Higham told Broadcast Splice Cardiff is currently home to “substantial, multi-episode projects.”

The facility is linked to Splice’s Shoreditch HQ with a direct fibre connection to enable collaborative working across the different offices.

Higham added that further technical advancements are “on the roadmap to allow even more creativity and connectivity between the sites.”

To supplement the post facilities at Splice Cardiff the company has created production office space for clients, providing short-term burst space for production companies based in the city.

Higham said: ‘Offering office space to our clients is something that’s worked really well for us in London, we’re able to offer flexible terms that suit the expanding and contracting nature of production.”
