Fourteen-year-old UK and US production group has appointed ABP Advisory to broker a deal

Argonon, the multinational production group behind The Masked Singer UK and The Lost Music of Auschwitz, is up for sale, Broadcast has learned.

An information memorandum (IM) has already been circulated to potential international buyers, with UK M&A specialist ABP Advisory handling the sales process.

London-headquartered Argonon operates across a broad range of genres via its indies in the UK and US, with hubs in London, Glasgow, New York, Oklahoma and LA.

Its labels comprise Bandicoot TV (The Masked Singer), Windfall Films (Naked History), BriteSpark Films (Titanic: Secrets of the Shipwreck, When Death Comes Knocking), Like A Shot Entertainment (Abandoned Engineering) and Leopard Pictures (Wurzel Gummidge) in the UK and Leopard USA and Rose Rock in North America. Argonon programming has generated 160 awards domestically and internationally.

The 14-year-old group, founded by chief exec James Burstall in 2011, has a catalogue of around 4,000 hours and produces around 200 hours fresh content across premium factual, long-running returning factual, formats and scripted per year.

Argonon’s US labels have myriad high-profile series and returning franchises such as HGTV stalwart House Hunters International (Leopard USA) and A&E’s The Mother Flip (Rose Rock).

It is understood the indie group has already generated strong interest from buyers in North America and Europe.

ABP Advisory, run by ACF alum Hasham Khan, has been an active dealmaker in 2025, brokering ITV Studios’ acquisition of Spanish scripted powerhouse Plano a Plano over the summer and Avalon’s investment in It’s All Made Up Productions and BBC Studios’ acquisition of a minority stake in Samphire Films earlier in the year.

Argonon and ABP Advisory declined to comment on the story when approached by Broadcast.
