Doc Hearts, the indie behind White Nanny, Black Child, has launched a London-based multi-purpose creative studio aimed at content creators.

Located in Chelsea, west London, Imperial Wharf Studio has been designed as a fully integrated production environment, with facilities including a customisable 900sq ft green screen studio, professional podcast and audio recording space, photographic backdrops, talent holding and dressing rooms which all allow teams to move quickly from concept to delivery.

The studio aims to be an affordable alternative for production companies, brands, broadcasters, podcasters and independent creators. Imperial Wharf Studio is led by Charlotte Rothwell, who has recently joined Doc Hearts and serves as studio manager.

“We set the studio up to get over our own frustration [at the affordability and difficulty of booking studios] but realised it could help others as the whole industry navigates seismic change,” said Andy Mundy-Castle, founder of Doc Hearts.

“We’ve built a space for creators who are tired of compromising whether that’s on cost, access or quality.”

Rothwell added: “This studio is run by people who actually make content. We understand how important pace, logistics and flexibility are, and we’ve designed the space so creatives can focus on storytelling rather than problem-solving.”

The studio is now open for business and has already secured several bookings ahead of launch.
