Michele Wolkoff relocates from LA to London to closer oversee growing domestic and European slates
Transatlantic indie The Ink Factory has relocated its creative director to the UK to maximise its growing slate of British and European-originated projects, Broadcast can reveal.
Michele Wolkoff, who has been creative director of The Night Manager and The Pigeon Tunnel indie for three years, has moved from Los Angeles to London, where she will steer its slate and manage the development and production teams in the UK, US and around the world.
The Ink Factory is currently in production on series two and three of hit espionage thriller The Night Manager, which was given a double recommission by the BBC and fresh streamer partner Amazon Prime Video last year. Its wider slate features adaptations of John le Carré’s best-known novels such as Legacy of Spies, starring Matthew Macfadyen as the iconic George Smiley, and its series adaptations of hit titles The Constant Gardener and A Most Wanted Man.
Wolkoff has just been revealed as one of the exec producers behind the Korean adaptation of the latter title with VO Media.
Her most recent credits include Apple TV+ Le Carré feature doc The Pigeon Tunnel for the Simon and Stephen Cornwell-led indie and Hulu/Disney+ original Culprits for Stephen Garrett’s Character 7.

Wolkoff first joined The Ink Factory in 2020 as its head of LA film and TV before taking over the creative director reins from Katherine Butler in 2022.
She said: “I’m excited to be starting this new chapter in London as we ready our next wave of projects for global audiences. At The Ink Factory, we’re in a fortunate position to have a very active and flourishing slate – so being more centrally based and closer to the heart of our projects and to our collaborators across the UK and Europe, will be integral as we bring these ambitious stories to life.”
Simon and Stephen Cornwell added: “Since joining us, Michele has become a cornerstone of our team – using her sharp creative instincts and strategic vision to deftly guide our projects across their lifecycle.
“Michele’s new endeavours in the British capital will be highly valuable as the upcoming projects in our slate are realised, offering closer collaboration with our UK and European partners – alongside her robust relationships in the US.”
